A Diverse Investment Portfolio

When Souter Investments was launched in December 2006, the vision was to create a diverse investment portfolio that would:

• Operate globally
• Be diversified
• Be resilient to economic downturns
• Produce a healthy level of growth over the long term

Four years later we have proved that the principles on which we formed Souter Investments have stood the test of time, enabling us to successfully come through one of the worst recessions in modern times.

Since launch we have created a balanced portfolio which spans private equity funds, hedge funds, bonds, quoted and unquoted investments and commercial and residential property.

Over the years the emphasis has changed slightly. In recent times, for instance, we have deliberately focussed on private equity investments, often filling a gap left vacant by the banks, by providing growth finance or strengthening the balance sheets of good companies.
