PolskiBus.com Launches New Hub in Poland

Sir Brian Souter, the Scottish transport entrepreneur,is expanding his PolskiBus.com operation in Poland with an £10m investment which will create 160 new jobs. 

Launched by Souter Investments in 2011, the express intercity luxury coach service, today announced the launch of its second hub in Wroclaw alongside the introduction of 4 new routes and investment in 30 new vehicles which will take the number of new coaches ordered by PolskiBus.com in 2013 to 75.

The new PolskiBus.com routes will connect Wroclaw with Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Opole, Poznan, Rzeszow and Zakopane plus Berlin and Prague. 

Existing services to Lodz, Warsaw and Prague will also be enhanced with increased frequency.  Many of the new services will benefit from free on-board catering and refreshments.

PolskiBus.com operates fast, cheap and comfortable intercity express coach services across Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.  Fares start at just 1zl plus a 1zl booking fee with no hidden luggage charges, free Wi-Fi access and in-seat electric charging points.  Tickets can be booked online at www.Polskibus.com.

The new PolskiBus.com Wroclaw hub will offer 40 services a day from Wroclaw to 10 major Polish cities and two international capital cities, Berlin and Prague.  Over 160 new jobs will be created by the new Wroclaw hub.  Since its launch in June 2011, PolskiBus.com has generated more than 500 new jobs across Poland.

In total, five PolskiBus.com services will operate from the Wroclaw hub:

  • Prague – Wroclaw – Bydgoszcz – Poznan – Gdansk
  • Wroclaw - Krakow - Rzeszow
  • Wroclaw – Katowice
  • Berlin – Wroclaw – Opole – Katowice – Krakow – Zakopane
  • Wroclaw - Lodz – Warsaw

The 30 new PolskiBus.com coaches are high specification, fuel efficient and environmentally friendly TDX27 Astromegas manufactured by Van Hool in Belgium. 

Each vehicle will be equipped with free Wi-Fi and in-seat electric charging points for laptops and mobile phones.  In addition, the coaches will offer reclining leather seats, air conditioning, toilet facilities and disabled access.
