Souter Investments Strengthens Investment Team

Souter Investments, the family investment office of Sir Brian Souter, is pleased to announce the recruitment of two investment executives.

Keith Barclay joins from Blas, the Edinburgh based corporate finance advisory boutique.  He is a qualified lawyer having previously worked for Shepherd & Wedderburn.

Maurice Shamash joins from Lloyds Banking Group where he was an Assistant Manager with responsibility for Equity Portfolio Management.  He previously worked for the actuarial consultancy Hymans Robertson.

Souter Investments makes investments across a broad range of asset classes, with a primary focus on private equity.  Souter Investments’ other recent unquoted investments include taking stakes in legal business Winn Group and specialist integrated safety engineering services provider Oteac, and a further investment in the fast growing intercity express coach operator PolskiBus.com.

These appointments take the Souter Investments team to eight executives, plus Sir Brian Souter himself.
